In their first home match of the season, the Brock Badgers women's soccer team battled to a hard-fought draw with the Windsor Lancers.

The solid defensive display at Alumni Field on Sunday, Sept. 6, marked the Badgers' second consecutive clean sheet to open the new campaign.

In a game with limited goal-mouth action, forward Jenna Parris came closest to scoring, registering three shots, including one on target.

The first half saw very few opportunities at either end, despite the Badgers earning three corner kicks.

The hosts made a late push in the second half, but were unable to breakthrough.

Brock's back line remained strong throughout the contest, while Madison Heeley stopped all four shots she faced.

The Badgers hit the road once again as they look to continue their early-season momentum against the Western Mustangs on Friday, Sept. 11 at 6 p.m. The game can be seen on OUA.tv.
