Cave, a third-year Kinesiology major, helped lead the Badgers to a 3-1 round-robin record and quarter-final appearance at the OUA women's curling championship this past weekend. The team's vice, she played in crucial role in victories over the York Lions, Algoma Thunderbirds, and 2022 champion Laurier Golden Hawks during the opening stages of the provincial showcase. The squads lone round-robin loss would come at the hands of the eventual gold medalist McMaster Marauders. With the 3-1 record, Brock finished as the top team within their pool with the top shootout score, and third overall entering the playoff rounds. The Badgers championship run was cut short in the quarter-finals following a tough 5-4 loss to Queen's, but Cave was rewarded for her stellar performance by being named an OUA all-star for the second year in a row, selected as the OUA first team vice.
