In a weekend sweep over the Western Mustangs, Cooney delivered two of his strongest performances of the season. In the 3-1 victory on Friday, Jan. 26, the sophomore outside hitter earned a game-high 17.5 points off 15 kills, two service aces and 0.5 blocks. The Media and Communications Studies major followed this up with a game-high and career-high 24 points the next day. Conney's 21 kills were also a career high. He added two service aces and one block as the Badgers came back from two sets down to defeat the Mustangs on Saturday, Jan. 27 night.
