Making an impactful debut at the 2026 OUA Championships in London, Ont., Emma Chartres earned a gold medal in the women's 50kg division and was named OUA Women's Rookie of the Year. The Biological Sciences major defeated the York Lions' Mina Stewart by fall at 1:21 in her first matchup and then followed it up with a 10-0 win by technical fall against Sarah Jones of the Lakehead Thunderwolves. The first-year student athlete earned another victory by technical fall, besting Guelph Gryphons' Sasha Weldon and securing a spot in the gold medal match. Matched up against Cyenna Trotman of the host Western Mustangs, Chartres secured a 17-6 technical fall victory to finish first in the 50kg weight class. This result helped the Badgers earn their 11th straight women's title and 24th overall.
