Emma Poulton, a fourth-year Kinesiology major, played a similarly key role in the Badgers runner-up finish at the OUS Championships over the weekend. In the Badgers first match of the weekend, the pitcher slugged a walk off grand slam to claim a 14-10 victory over the Ottawa Gee-Gees. Her clutch game-winning homer helped set the tone for the remainder of the tournament, as the Badgers carried the momentum from their memorable start forward to become the only team to remain undefeated heading into the gold medal game. The veteran’s leadership both on and off the field was crucial in helping Brock secure a provincial medal to end off the season.
