Brock men’s soccer falls 4-0 in final game to 5th ranked Marauders

HAMILTON, Ont. – The Brock University men's soccer team (1-11-4 OUA) fell to the 5th ranked McMaster Marauders (11-2-2 OUA) by the score of 4-0 on Saturday afternoon in their final game of the season.

The Marauders would get the lead early in the first half on a goal from Paterson Farrell to take a 1-0 lead through 13 minutes.

Gersi Xhuti collected his seventh goal of the season before the end of the half to give McMaster a 2-0 lead at the break.

In the 65th minute, Ryan Garnett put the game out of reach with his second of the season to take a three-goal advantage with 25 minutes remaining.

Nathaniel Morris added a late marker to make the final 4-0 in favour of the Marauders.

The Badgers were outshot 14-5 in the contest giving Daniel Keir 11 saves in his second start with Brock.

Angelo Cavulluzzo made five saves to register his 10th win and first clean sheet in 2013.
