The Brock men's soccer team were unable to claim victory in their first fixture of the new season against the Waterloo Warriors.
In a tight, defensive matchup, a late goal from the Warriors at the 80-minute mark made the difference in the 1-0 defeat at Waterloo's Warrior Field on Sunday, Aug. 30.
Outshooting the hosts 6-2 throughout the first half, the Badgers were unable to find the back of the net, despite generating plenty of early pressure.
Brock faced similar struggles down the stretch, despite continuing the offensive onslaught after the halftime break, as all nine second-half Badger shots were thwarted.
Forward
Luca Danesi and midfielder
Lucas Spinosa found themselves in goalscoring positions throughout the afternoon, with each registering two shots on goals.
Goalkeeper
Taj Moore made two saves throughout the contest.
The Badgers will look to bounce back in front of their home crowd, as the Windsor Lancers come to visit Alumni Field on Sunday, Sept. 6 at 4 p.m. Tickets for the game can be purchased on
