ON A ROLL
Since the Badgers opened pre-season action by splitting their double-header vs. the Humber Hawks, the Badgers have reeled off 9 straight victories between the remainder of the pre-season and the beginning of the OUA regular season. The Badgers overall record now stands at 10-1 while their OUA record sits at 5-0 leaving the Badgers a-top the OUA standings as the league's only remaining undefeated team in regular season play

CAPTAIN LEADS THE WAY
Team Captain Ricky Ferri continues to produce for the Badgers in a big big way. Ferri is now batting .400 to start the OUA season, driving in 8 RBI and scoring 9 runs over the first 5 games of the regular season. Ferri produced a clutch 2 RBI Double late in the game vs. Western on September 12th at George Taylor Field to help the Badgers rally and move to 5-0.

PROGRAM SUCCESS: CLOSING IN ON 450 VICTORIES
With another 2 mid-week victories, the Badgers improved their all-time program record to 441-221-5 and now sit just 9 games back of 450 all-time

RUNNING WILD
5 games into the regular season, the Badgers have been using their speed to cause chaos on the base paths. The team has stolen 13 bases already: Phil Steer (5), Ricky Ferri (3), Ben Kirby (2), Chris Anderi (2) and Justin Gideon (1)

LOOKING AHEAD
The Badgers will play a combined 4 games on the road over the weekend which could have a strong influence over the final standings despite the season having just begun. After the 4 game weekend the Badgers will return home for a solid home stand featuring Queens, Toronto and Wilfred Laurier coming to St.Catharines on September 17th, 21st, and 22nd respectively.

BROCK BATTING LEADERS (ALL GAMES - MIN 20 AB)
Ricky Ferri .500 (16-for-32)
Jordan Grant .433 (13-for-30)
Ben Kirby .423 (11-for-26)
Phil Steer .412 (14-for-34)
James Roffey .370 (10-for-27)
Justin Gideon .350 (7-for-20)

GUELPH PLAYER TO WATCH
2012 OUA Hitter of the Year Justin Interisano continues to produce for the Guelph Gryphons and cement himself as one of the best hitters in the league. So far in regular season action, Interisano has posted a .462 AVG with 2 HR and 6 RBI, leading the league in both AVG and HR while coming in 2 RBI behind the Badgers Ricky Ferri's 8 for the league lead. In order for the Badgers to be successful this weekend they must find a way to limit the damage Interisano create at the plate

WESTERN PLAYER TO WATCH
Mustangs veteran and ace Adam Paish will likely challenge Badgers hitters this weekend. Over 3 seasons in the OUA Paish has posted a 10-4 record with a 2.21 ERA with 94 strikeouts and just 31 walks over 114 innings pitched. In 2013, Paish has started a little slower over his first two starts of the season, posting a 3.60 ERA with 10 strikeouts and 5 walks over his 15 innings pitched so far this season. Expect Paish to have a strong performance this weekend.
