FERRI HAS STRONG PRESEASON
In the opening week Badgers centerfielder
Ricky Ferri batted .667 going 8-for-12 with seven RBI and three stolen bases. He surpassed Justin Parro (30) and moved into a tie for 8th all-time in career stolen bases with Adam Vella 32 (2003-07). He now closes in on Joe Kirby
(2006-09) who ranks 7th all-time with 43 stolen bases.
STRONG RUN SUPPORT IN PRESEASON
The Badgers got strong run support in their six preseason contests registering 60 runs (10 runs per game) to the opponents 21 (3.5 runs per game). This team is made up a number of players that can hit for average and have speed.Â
AYLES LOOKING TO CLIMB UP BADGERS CAREER WINS LIST

Justin Ayles has had a great career at Brock and is looking to go out on top leading his team to another OUA title in 2013. Going into the regular season, Ayles has recorded 13 career victories which ranks 7th all-time. He closes in on both Brock Baseball Hall of Famers Stefan Strecker (1998-03) and Greg Arbour (1998-00) who rank tied for 5th all-time with 14 victories and Chris Ebel (1995-97) who is 4th all-time with 15 career wins as a Badger.
STEER NICE ADDITION TO BADGERS LINEUP

Phil Steer has been a nice addition to the Badgers lineup for 2013. In the preseason he batted .400 going 6-for-15 with 11 runs scored and five stolen bases.

Jordan Grant and
Ben Kirby are off to strong starts in their sophomore campaign. Both players batted .500 in the preseason; Grant (8-for-16, 4R, 6RBI, 3SB) and Kirby (6-for-12, 4RBI).
PROGRAM SUCCESS - CLOSING IN ON 450 VICTORIES
In the Badgers 19-year history, they have captured two National Championships (1998, 1999), three OUA Championships (2002, 2004, 2010) and two CIBA Ontario West Titles (1996, 2000).  Going into the start of the 2013 OUA regular season the Badgers have posted a 436-221-5 (.662 winning %) having averaged almost 24 wins a season. They are just 14 program victories shy of 450.
