HAMBURG, NY - The Brock University men's basketball team ended their pre-season with a 100-83 loss to Hilbert College Saturday afternoon.

Leading the Badgers offense was Johneil Simpson who led all scorers with a game-high 27 points and 11 rebounds for the double-double. Also in double digits were Zach Angelini who contributed with 21 points, seven boards and four steals and Yusuf Ali who chipped in with 14 points in the loss.

Hilbert had six players in double figures, led by Jordan Kumro who finished with 17 points. Trevor Stark added 15 points, including going 3-for-4 from long range. Rounding out the Hilbert leaders were Jerame Owens (14 pts, 11 rebounds, 7 assists), Ryan Bradt (12 points, 5 rebounds), Chris Davidson (12 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists) and Sean Weisansal (11 points, 5 assists). 

The Badgers open their OUA regular season on the road this upcoming weekend at Carleton and Ottawa. Their OUA homeopener is scheduled for November 14th at 6pm when they host the Algoma Thunderbirds at the Bob Davis Gymnasium.
