Box Score WINDSOR, Ont. - The Brock University men's basketball team (2-4 OUA West) dropped a 91-68 decision to the No. 5 ranked Windsor Lancers (5-1 OUA) Friday night at the St. Denis Centre. All four of the Badgers regular season losses have come against CIS Top 5 ranked opponents.

In the opening quarter, the two teams exchanged baskets regularly, with the host Lancers holding a 23-18 lead after 10 minutes. The Lancers put together a 10-2 run early in the second quarter, to take a 33-22 lead with 6:45 left in the first half. Brock cut the lead to six, 35-29 with 2:49 left. Windsor closed out the second quarter with a 9-0 run, leading 44-29 at the half.

In the third quarter, Windsor outscored Brock 26-16 in the third quarter, highlighted by a 17-3 run, on route to their fifth victory of the regular season. The Badgers outscored the Lancers 23-21 in the final quarter.

Leading the Brock scoring was freshman Johneil Simpson who recorded a game-high 25 points and six rebounds. Sophomore Josh Johnson contributed with 10 points going 4-for-6 from the field. Rounding out the Badgers leaders were Matt Marshall and Yusuf Ali who chipped in with nine and eight points respectively in the loss.

Windsor had three players reach double figures led by Mitch Farrell who collected 18 points. Rotimi Osuntola contributed with 16 points and nine boards, while Alex Campbell and Mike Rocca rounded out the Lancers leaders with 13 and nine points respectively.

For the game, Windsor shot 47.1% (33-for-70) from the field, 26.1% (6-for-23) from beyond the arc and 65.6% (19-for-29) from the charity stripe. The Badgers were held to 37.7% (26-for-69) from the floor, 21.7% (5-for-23) from long range and 84.6% (11-for-13) from the free throw line.

The Badgers return to action Saturday night when they take on the Western Mustangs in London.
