HAMILTON - The Brock University men's soccer team (0-4-1 OUA) were shutout 5-0 by the McMaster Marauders Wednesday night at Ron Joyce Stadium.

The Marauders opened the scoring just six minutes into the first half as Mark Reilly buried a shot past Brock starter Jake Sweetzer for his first of the night. In the 28th minute, Reilly added his second goal of the contest chipping it past Sweetzer to give McMaster a 2-0 lead at the half.

Early in the second half, McMaster would take a 3-0 lead as Marco Gennaccaro slid one inside the near post for his first goal of the season.

McMaster closed out the scoring in the final couple minutes of regulation as Reilly finished with the hat-trick in the 88th minute and Gennaccaro netted his second of the night in the 89th minute for the five goal victory.

In goal, Sweetzer record three saves in the loss while Marauders starter Angelo Cavalluzzo collected two saves for his league leading third shutout of the season.

Brock returns to action Saturday, September 13th at 3:15pm when they take on the Waterloo Warriors on the road.
