
ST. CATHARINES, Ont. - The Brock University baseball team (6-0 OUA, 14-0 overall) extended their win streak to 14 games as they defeated the York Lions by the scores of 8-0 and 10-5 Tuesday night at George Taylor Field.
In Game One, Brock newcomer Dylan Perago threw seven strong innings allowing no runs on three hits with four strikeouts for the victory.
Leading the Badgers nine-hit attack was
Dan Nicoletta who went 3-for-4 with an RBI.
Phil Steer added two hits going 2-for-5, while
Justin Gideon (1-for-2, 2B, RBI),
Ricky Ferri (1-for-3, 2B, RBI),
Nick Anton (1-for-3, RBI) and
Chris Anderi (1-for-4) all added one hit each in the victory.
In Game Two, the Badgers jumped out to a 5-0 run lead after one, and led 10-0 after four. The Lions offense came alive in the top of the 5th, adding five unearned runs, but that was all they would get as Brock won their 14th straight.

Daniel Veres picked up his second OUA victory throwing seven complete innings allowing five runs (0 earned) on six hits while striking out a game-high eight batters. Closing out the game wasÂ
Brendan Ellingham, who threw two shutout innings allowing two hits while striking out four.
The Brock bats were led by Gideon who went 3-for-4, including his OUA leading fourth triple of the season.Â

The Badgers return to action Wednesday night at 5pm as they host the Ontario Terriers. Their next OUA action is this weekend when they play host to the Western Mustangs and Guelph Gryphons Saturday and Sunday at George Taylor Field. Both doubleheaders are scheduled for 12pm and 4pm.
