
OSHAWA, Ont. - The Brock University women's lacrosse team capped off the 2015 OUA season with their second straight silver medal finish at the OUA Lacrosse Championship hosted by the UOIT Ridgebacks.
The Badgers opened the championship with an 11-6 victory over the host UOIT Ridgebacks.
Sarah Simpson led the way with five points, adding three goals and two assists
Eryn Brown (3G) and
Kathryn Simpson (2G, 1A) collected three points each. Adding single markers were
Kassidy Dorherty, Samantha Shure and Kendra Byers.In the OUA semi-finals, Brock defeated Queen's by the score of 9-4.
K. Simpson registered three goals to lead the way. S. Simpson and
Breanne Gillie both added two goals each. Adding singles were
Brown and Dorherty.In the finals, the Badgers dropped a 15-9 decision to the Western Mustangs, who were crowned OUA Champions for their fifth straight season.
S. Simpson recorded the hat trick while K. Simpson chipped in with two goals. Adding single goals were Byers, Gillie, Brown and Dorherty.
