Box Score The Brock University men's hockey team dropped a 5-3 decision to the Concordia Stingers Friday night on the road.
After a scoreless opening period, Concordia would get on the board first 56 seconds into the opening period as Philippe Hudon and Carl Neill setup Anthony Beauregard for the power play marker. Just under a minute later, the Stingers would add another power play goal, as Neil and Hudon found Scott Oke who beat Brock goaltender
Clint Windsor to take a 2-0 lead.
Brock would answer back with back-to-back goals just 23 seconds apart. At 4:53,
Dexter Weber setup
Mitch Nardi and at 5:26 the Badgers would tie the game 2-2 as
Brandon O'Quinn found the back of the net on Concordia starter Marc-Antoine Turcotte.
Chris Maniccia and
Matt MacLeod added the assists.
With 10 second left in the second period, Concordia's Raphael Lafontaine would give his team a 3-2 lead heading to the third.
To open the third period, the Badgers would tie the game 3-3 as O'Quinn and
Patrick Volpe setup Maniccia for his first goal of the season.
The Stingers would regain the lead at the 4:45 mark as Beauregard recorded his second goal of the night.
With the Brock goalie pulled for the extra attacker, Concordia's Beauregard would add the hat trick with an empty netter for the 5-3 victory.
In goal, Windsor recorded 22 saves in the loss while Turcotte collected 31 saves for the win.
