Brock tops St. Clair in women's basketball exhibition

The Brock women's basketball team collected its second consecutive exhibition win on Friday, Oct. 22.

The Badgers defeated the St. Clair College Saints of the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association by a score of 56-39 at Bob Davis Gymnasium.

Brock is now 2-1 in pre-season play.

First-year guard Muskaan Waraich led the Badgers in scoring with 11 points. Madison MacInnis netted eight points and Madalyn Weinert chipped in six.

Head coach Mike Rao and the Badgers' coaching staff are trying many different rotations and looks to discover an optimal deployment of personnel.

"We're still trying to find our identity right now. We have to shore up our defence, because we're still too individual oriented instead of team oriented," Rao said. "We're not aware of the ball as much as I'd like to be. We have to rebound better. In our half court set we have to move without the ball a little better."

Next, the Badgers host the Carleton Ravens at Bob Davis Gymnasium on Sunday, Oct. 24 at noon.
