This past weekend the Badgers took to the pool for the North York Aquatic Club Cup where 10 swimmers competed alongside some of the largest club teams in Ontario. In total the team earned seven medals, including two gold.
Tomas Galvez placed first in the 1500m freestyle event, before also picking up bronze in the 400m free. Also reaching the top step on the podium,
Jami Fuson finished first in the 800m freestyle, adding a third place result in the 400m individual medley. Rounding out the Badgers medals were

"Our swimmers had a strong weekend at the NYAC Cup with the entire squad showing notable imrpovement from our meets earlier in October," said Brock Badgers swimming head coach
David Ling. "The plan is to take the momentum from the NYAC Cup, reunite with the entire team, and prepare for fast racing at the Boles Divisional Championships in November at Brock."
The week prior, 17 Brock Badgers swimmers competed at the Walker Invitational, a local club meet taking place at the Walker Complex on campus at Brock University. The previously mentioned Bossy led the Badgers at the tune-up event with a pair of lifetime best times. The event served as another chance for Badgers swimmers to get valuable early season racing ahead of the upcoming OUA competitions.
Next on the slate for the Badgers will be the Boles Divisional Championships, which is set to take place at the Walker Complex inside the Eleanor Misener Aquatic Centre from Nov. 26-27. Teams from across the OUA will be in attendance for the annual fall event.
