It was a successful home regatta for the Brock Badgers men's rowing team.
The Badgers earned a total of three gold medals and five overall at the Brock Invitational which took place on Saturday, Oct. 12 at Henley Island.
The first gold medal was handed out to the men's pair of Lucas Fogh and Euan Coulson who placed first in a time of seven minutes, 14 minutes and zero milliseconds.
Connor Dodds and Charles-Etienne Tabet placed first in commanding fashion, crossing the finish line in 6:51.89; close to 22 seconds ahead of the next-best finisher in the Waterloo Warriors (7:13.63)
Rounding out the gold medal performances was Ian Doctor (7:33.0) who won a very close race in the men's single, besting Leon Domagalski of the Waterloo Warriors (7:34.07) by 1.07 seconds.
In addition, Brock saw silver medal results in the men's single (Ethan Mason) (8:05.57) and the men's eight (Fogh, Coulson, Doctor, Arden White, Ethan Mason, Sam Parlatore, Luca Hardy, Christian Moise, c: Serafina Dell) (6:10.88).
Up next, the Badgers look to claim their fourth provincial title as they head to Henley Island on Saturday, Oct. 26 for the OUA Championships.
