Young earns women’s soccer all-star selection

Stefanie Young of the Brock Badgers women's soccer team has been recognized with a provincial honour.

Ontario University Athletics (OUA) announced their list of award winners and provincial all-stars in an announcement made on Thursday, Oct. 31.

Young earned an OUA Second Team All-Star Selection in her first season since joining the Brock Badgers.

"Stefanie's OUA Second Team All-Star recognition speaks volumes about her hard work and leadership," said Head Coach Carli Tingstad. "She elevates our team with her dedication and skill, and this honor reflects the impact she makes every day. We're proud to have her with us."

A fourth-year forward, Young led the way for the Badgers, starting all 12 games this season where she scored seven goals and recorded two assists.

This is not Young's first collegiate all-star selection. She was honoured with a 2023 Canada West First Team All-Star Selection with the UBCO Heat after scoring a program-record 14 goals in a season.

The Kelowna, BC product also made the 2021 Canada West All-Star Second Team with the Heat.

Before joining up with the Badgers, Young signed a contract with League of Ireland Women's Premier Division side, Treaty United, in December 2023.

The complete list of 2024 OUA women's soccer award winners and all-stars is as follows:
