The Brock Badgers men's soccer team saw two of its members earn provincial recognition.
Conrad Czarnecki and Malik Darbi were both named to the OUA West Second Team on Friday, Nov. 1 as Ontario University Athletics (OUA) released their major award winners and all-stars.
"Congratulations to our two selections," said Head Coach Aleks Balta. "It's always great when any Brock athletes are recognized."
For the second year in a row, Czarnecki has earned an all-star selection.
Last season, the Burlington product was recognized as an OUA First Team All-Star.
In 2024, Czarnecki started in 11 contests, registering a team-high five goals, with four of them coming during the regular season.
"Conrad was an integral part of our defence that allowed us to be competitive in the league," Balta added. "He was excellent in dealing with skilled attackers and also provided the necessary communication within the team. Conrad's intangibles of hard work, mentality, and overall approach to the game was what makes him the player that is heavily relied upon."

As the team's designated penalty kicker, the second-year defender was 100% from the spot, ensuring the Badgers took advantage of those scoring opportunities.
Darbi joined the Badgers this season and made an immediate impact to the tune of four regular season goals which tied him with Czarnecki.
The Regina, SK product played in 12 games during the year and made six starts.
"Malik had very good moments of quality during the season, specifically against Waterloo and Windsor which resulted in his recognition," Balta said. "He was very important to our surge in making the playoffs."
