The Brock men's curling team had a successful trip to Peterborough.
At the Trent Invitational at the Peterborough Curling Club on Saturday, Nov. 23, the Badgers had a commanding performance, forcing both their opponents to concede their respective matches.
Representing the Badgers this weekend were Elias Whittington, Will Dombroskie, Grayson Lambert and Owen Robinson.
The young quartet started with a commanding 9-2 victory over the Algoma Thunderbirds in just six ends. A strong first end helped catapult them to an early advantage which they continued to expand by scoring in four of the next five ends.
Against the host Trent Excalibur, the Badgers were in a nail biter as they scored two in the seventh end to claim victory as the Excalibur conceded the match in seven ends. After going up 3-0 after three ends of play, the Excalibur countered with four points of their own.
In the new year, the Badgers will compete at the McMaster Invitational on Saturday, Jan. 4 and Sunday, Jan. 5 at the Dundas Valley Golf and Curling Club in Hamilton.
