Badgers finish successful weekend at Jester's Crossover in Toronto

The Brock Badgers men's squash team secured its first two wins of the season this past weekend.

At the Jester's Crossover No. 1 event, the Badgers secured back-to-back wins against the Guelph Gryphons and Laurier Goldens Hawks on Saturday, Nov. 2 before dropping their final match against the Queen's Gaels on Sunday, Nov. 3. 

Brock 4 - 3 Guelph 

Brock began Saturday morning with a close victory over Guelph by a score of 4-3. 

Aidan Parris won in three sets over his opponent Ishwak Singh Barmi, scoring 11, 13 and 11, respectively.

In a competitive battle with his opponent Noah Crawford, Mohryan Baksh won in five sets, coming back from 2-1 down. 

Another Brock set sweep occurred in this matchup thanks to Kemar Lord, who limited his opponent Sebastien Rancoeur to just three, six and three points in the three sets.

To help secure the victory over Guelph, Colton Eggert won in five sets against the Gryphons' Jarvis Easingwood.

Brock 6 - 1 Laurier

Despite not getting the sweep for their second Saturday contest, Brock did win all of its matchups with active players, with Laurier earning a point by default. 

Parris, Baksh, Lockhart, Lord and Finley Armstrong won handily in three straight sets against their opponents. 

With his second win of the day, Eggert defeated his opponent Connor Finch in four sets. 

Brock 1 - Queen's 6 

The Gaels got the best of the Badgers.

Baksh won the Badgers' lone matchup, defeating opponent Felix Scholberg in three straight sets, including giving up just one point in the first set.
