The Brock Badgers men's golf team continued their hot start to the season.
In their host tournament at the Sawmill Golf Course, the Badgers came away with the team title and an individual gold medal on Sunday, Sept. 22.
Robbie Pemberton prevailed over all competitors to place first with a score of 68, finishing one stroke ahead of Conor Gaudet from the Laurier Golden Hawks; last year's Ontario University Athletics (OUA) silver medalist.
Narrowly missing out on the podium was Morgan Daly (71) who placed fourth. Sean Fraser (73) and Liam McKeiver (74) tied for seventh and eighth, respectively, while Jaxon Kearns shot a 75 to tie for 11th.
At the home tournament, the Badgers sent a second team. Leading the way for that group was Alexander Duarte who shot a 77. Matthew Lundy delivered a score of 80 while Sebastien Albert and Josh Moro tied with an 81. Not far behind was Charlie Paton (82).
Up next, the Badgers continue their season with a trip to Waterloo for a two-day tournament at the Waterloo/Laurier Invitational at both the Rebel Creek Golf Course and the Grey Silo Golf Course on Saturday, Sept. 28 and Sunday, Sept. 29.
