Jalyn Mowry turned in a standout performance at the 2025 Pan American Junior Games, earning a pair of medals for Canada.

"This opportunity to represent Canada, my hometown and Brock was like no other," Mowry said. "To be able to bring back two medals made it even more special. It is extremely rewarding to dedicate so much to a sport and receive the results that I did."

The five-day competition wrapped up Wednesday, Aug. 13 in Asunción, Paraguay.

Mowry's first medal came as part of the women's eight crew, which secured silver.

She followed it up with a bronze in the women's double alongside Peterborough Rowing Club teammate Tess Friar. The pair crossed the line in seven minutes, 23 seconds and 60 milliseconds, finishing behind boats from Brazil and Chile.

Canada finished the competition fourth in the medal standings with four total medals.
