Tatum O'Connor and the Badgers women's swimming team turned in a 10th-place result, their highest national finish since 2001, at the 2026 U SPORTS Swimming Championships, taking place from Thurdsay, March 12 until Saturday, March 14. The third-year swimmer made two A final appearances, finishing fourth in the 100-metre backstroke with a time of 1:00.03. She also placed sixth in the 50m backstroke with a school record time of 27.49, beating her previous time (27.65) that earned her a bronze medal at last year's championships. In the 4x100m freestyle and 4x100m medley relay events, O'Connor and her teammates also broke two Badger records with respective times of 3:46.45 and 4:10.31 en-route to eighth and sixth place finishes.
