HAMILTON, Ont. - The Brock University men's lacrosse team (6-1 CUFLA West) defeated the McMaster Marauders by the score of 8-1 Wednesday night on the road.
Brock led 2-1 after one quarter and added three more golas in the second leading 5-1 at the half. The Badgers defense held the Marauders off the board for the final 66 minutes on route to their fourth straight victory.
Leading the Badgers was
Kyle Davis (Caledon, Ont.) who led all scorers with a five-point night adding three goals and two assists.
Brandon Slade (Orangeville, Ont.) contributed with one goal and one assist while
Travis Arch (Mississauga, Ont.) added two assists. Rounding out the Brock scoring were
Gage Board (Brampton, Ont.) (1G),
Mitch Robertson (Whitby, Ont.) (1G),
Mark Debrone (St. Catharines, Ont.) (1G) and
Cole Petrie (St Davids, Ont.) (1G).
In goal,
Ian Duffy (Ajax, Ont.) recorded his fourth victory of the season turning aside eight of nine shots he faced. McMaster goaltender Max Yavitt recorded 18 saves in the loss.
The Badgers return to action this weekend when they play host to the University of Toronto Varsity Blues (Oct. 5 - 2pm) and McMaster Marauders (Oct. 6 - 2pm).
