THE BEST REVENGE IS MASSIVE SUCCESS
Brock and Western will meet on Saturday night for the first time since the Mustangs defeated the Badgers 4-3 in double overtime during the CUFLA semi-finals last fall. The Mustangs are on a three-game winning streak against the Badgers, the first time this has happened in this series' history, and the undefeated Brock squad will look to snap this funk on the road.
DAVIDSON RECORDS 100TH CAREER POINT
In the Badgers 20-5 victory over the Laurentian Voyageurs last weekend, junior
Greg Davidson collected five goals and one assist, including his 100th career point in a Badgers uniform.
LIGHTING THE LAMP
Through their first two CUFLA games this season, the Badgers have averaged just over 16 goals per game. This sets them up well for Western, who managed just six markers in their season opener. Similar to Brock, Guelph has had offensive success early this season, as they scored 16 goals in a win against Laurier last weekend.
EASY AS 1, 2…4
Kyle Davis,
Greg Davidson, and
Brandon Slade are first, second, and fourth respectively in the CUFLA point standings. Davis has seven goals in the first two games, while Davidson leads the conference with 10. Slade is four points behind his teammate Davidson, with 10 points in two games.
FIRST TEST = GOOD SUCCESS
Rookie netminder
Ryan Jones secured his first CUFLA victory last weekend at Laurentian, collecting 12 saves in a 20-5 victory for Brock. The Aurora, ON native leads the conference in goals against average (GAA).
