ST. CATHARINES, Ont. - The Brock University men's lacrosse team improved to 3-1 on the regular season as they defeated the Guelph Gryphons by the score of 14-6 Sunday afternoon at home.
In the opening half, Brock led 3-2 after one quarter and 6-4 at the half.Â
In the second half, it was all Brock as they controlled the tempo of the game. Brock outscored Guelph 4-2 in the third quarter to take a 10-6 lead after 60 minutes. In the final quarter, the Badgers defense kept Guelph scoreless on route to the 14-6 win.
Freshman
Brandon Slade led all scorers with a game high five goals and one assist.
Mark Debrone contributed with two goals and two assists,
Travis Arch added a goal and three assists while
Greg Davidson scored the natural hat trick. Rounding out the Brock scoring were Davis, Kyle
(1G, 2A),
Mitch Robertson (1G) and
Aaron Walker (1G).

Ian Duffy played outstanding registering 12 saves for the victory, highlighted by two spectacular ones in the final quarter.
