
ST. CATHARINES, Ont. - The Brock University men's lacrosse team (8-0 CUFLA) rallied late to defeat the Laurentian Voyageurs by the score of 11-8 Saturday afternoon at home.
Brock led 4-3 after one quarter, and the two teams were deadlocked 5-5 at the half. In the third quarter, both teams exchanged goals, going into the final quarter all tied up 7-7.
Brock went up 8-7 with 10:48 remaining in regulation as

Greg Davidson for his third of the game. The Voyageurs answered right back at 8:54, as Philip Romanet scored in transition tying it 8-8. With 5:29 remaining in regulation,
Kyle Davis would slide a loose ball in front of the crease past Laurentian starter Ian Walters for the eventual game winner. Â
Brandon Slade led the Badgers offense adding two goals and six assists for an eight-point performance.
Greg Davidson contributed with four goals and one helper, while
Kyle Davis (2G),
Travis Arch (2G) and
Nicholas Rybka (1G, 1A) rounded out the scoring with two points each.
For the Voyageurs, Clint Lamarsh (2G, 1A) and Philip Romanet (1G, 2A) recorded three points each. Rounding out their scoring were Jon Van Der G. (1G, 1A), Matt Kussman (1G), Donald Beaulieu (1G), Brad Lauzon (1G) and Blair McDonald (1G) all adding singles.
In goal, Brock's
Ryan Jones recorded 15 saves for his seventh win of the campaign. Watkins turned aside 13 of the 24 Brock shots he faced in the loss.Â
The Badgers next action is Sunday when they host the Laurentian Voyageurs in their second of back-to-back weekend contests.
