Box Score TORONTO - The Brock Badger's women's hockey team (0-2 OUA) dropped a 3-1 decision to the Ryerson Rams (1-2 OUA) Friday night at the Mattamy Athletic Centre.

The Rams would open the scoring 7:32 into the opening period on a goal from Blair Malthaner. Ryerson led 1-0 at the end of one period, after outshooting the Badgers 10-7.

The homeside extended its lead to 2-0 late in the second period as Kayla Karbonik added a shorthanded maker. 

The Badgers fifth year forward Jessica Fickel cut Ryerson's lead to 2-1, 14:35 into the third period, as she registered her 47th career goal, closing in on the all-time Brock scoring record.

Despite outshooting the Rams 13-8 in the final frame, Ryerson would seal the deal with an empty net goal from Sarah McGilvray.

Ryerson starter Alex Armstrong turned aside 29 of 30 shots she faced for the victory. Brock rookie goaltender Stephanie Loukes made 27 saves in defeat, as Brock went 0-for-4 on the powerplay. 

The Badgers next return to action Sunday afternoon in Toronto against the U of T Varsity Blues.  In fact, Brock doesn't return home until Friday night November 7th when the UOIT Ridgebacks visit the Seymour-Hannah Centre.  Game time is 7:15 pm.
