
GUELPH, Ont. - The Brock University men's lacrosse team (11-1 CUFLA) had their undefeated streak come to an end, as they were defeated by the defending CUFLA Champion Guelph Gryphons by the score of 13-12 in overtime Sunday afternoon on the road.
Leading the Badgers offense for the second straight game was
Brandon Staal who recorded three goals and one assist.

Mark Vradenburg (2G),
Gage Board (1G, 1A),
Nicholas Beaudoin (1G, 1A) all contributed with two points each.
Greg Davidson rounded out the scoring with a single goal to capture the CUFLA goals scoring record for the second straight season finishing with a career best 47 goals.Â
Guelph was led by Jordan Critch who led all scorers with a game-high seven points adding three goals and four assists. Brett Ulbikas contributed with two goals and three helpers. Rounding out the Gryphons offense was Mike Burke (2G, 2A), Ryan Serville (3G), Curtis Knight (2G, 1A) and Liam Corbett (1G).
In goal, Brock starter
Ryan Jones recorded 15 saves in the loss. Guelph Michael Lalani finished with a game-high 26 saves in the victory.
The Badgers clinch first place in the CUFLA West Division and will host the McMaster Marauders (4-8 CUFLA) Sunday, November 2nd - 2pm at Kiwanis Field.
