
ST. CATHARINES, Ont. - The Brock University men's lacrosse team opened the postseason with a 13-3 victory over the Laurentian Voyageurs Saturday afternoon at Alumni Field.
With the victory, the Badgers advance to next weekend's CUFLA Championships being hosted by Bishop's University in Lennoxville, Que.
The Badgers led 5-2 at the half. After adding just one in the third quarter, the Badgers offense came alive in the fourth quarter answering with seven goals, on route to the 10-goal victory.
Davis Neal (Orangeville, Ont.) led the Badgers offense with a nine-point performance adding five goals and four assists.
Brandon Slade (Orangeville, Ont.) added a goal and five assists.
Connor Ham (Newmarket, Ont.) added the natural hat trick, while Jake Nyhuus (Oakville, Ont.) (2G), Kyle Moore (Limehouse, Ont.) (1G, 1A) andÂ
Nick Karam (Whitby, Ont.) (1G, 1A) rounded out the scoring. Â
In goal, Brock rookie
Josh Wood (Welland, Ont.) recorded 11 saves for the victory. Laurentian starter Ian Walters collected 12 saves in the loss.
