
NORTH BAY, Ont. - The Brock University men's lacrosse team improved to 4-2 on the regular season as they defeated the Nipissing Lakers by the score of 27-6 Sunday afternoon on the road.
Brock jumped out to a 5-2 lead after one quarter and outscored the Lakers 11-1 in the second quarter to take a commanding 16-3 lead at the half.
Leading the Badgers offense was
Brandon Slade (Orangeville, Ont.) who led all scorers with nine points adding three goals and six assists.
Davis Neal (Orangeville, Ont.) scored a career high six goals while adding two helpers.
Nick Karam (3G, 4A), Jeremy McWatters (3G, 2A),
Nicholas Beaudoin (Welland, Ont.) (3G, 1A), Nick Rybka (2G, 1A), Matt Bourassa (1G, 1A) and Jesse Shoeman (1G) rounded out the Brock scoring.
In goal, Brock rookie
Josh Wood (Welland, Ont.) played strong for turning aside 13 Nipissing shots for his second career victory.
