ST. CATHARINES, ON- The Brock University women's soccer team lost a 2-1 decision to the Windsor Lancers Saturday afternoon at Alumni Field.

Windsor opened the scoring in the 13th minute with a header off a corner kick. The Badgers would tie things up in the 37th minute with a goal from Laura Kirk (Mississauga, ON) setup by Alicia Robinson (Dundas, ON).

In the second half, the Lancers retook the lead in the 54th minute making it 2-1 with a goal from Abby Hunt, her second of the game.

Brock came close to scoring again with Alysha Bonany (Guelph, ON) shooting the ball off the crossbar. Windsor would hold on for the victory.

Brock rookie goalkeeper Marilena Spagnolo (St. Catharines, ON) made 12 saves. In ten games she has a 4-5-1 record with two shutouts, a 1.42 GAA and .817 save percentage.

The Badgers play again Sunday against the Western Mustangs at 1pm at Alumni Field.
