ST. CATHARINES, ON - The Brock University men's lacrosse team answered with five straight goals in the opening quarter on route to a 10-5 victory over the Guelph Gryphons at Alumni Field Friday night.

Brandon Slade (Orangeville, ON) led the way adding two goals and two assists for a four-point night. Matthew Bourassa (Cornwall, ON) contributed with a goal and two assists while Nico Beaudoin (Welland, ON) added one goal and one helper while winning 89% of the faceoffs.

Adding single goals were Alex Pace (Halifax, NS), Davis Neal (Orangeville, ON), Adam Kirchmeyer (Welland, ON),  Nicholas Rybka (Bolton, ON), Connor Ham (Newmarket, ON) and Connor Aquanno (Hammonds Plains, NS).

In goal,  Brock's Alex Guiney recorded 13 saves for the victory.
