St. Catharines, ON - The Brock University men's lacrosse team improve to 8-1 in the CUFLA West Division as they defeated the University of Toronto Varsity Blues by the score of 16-10 Sunday afternoon at Alumni Field.
Brock jumped out to an early 4-1 lead and led 5-3 in the opening 20 minutes. Brock went up 6-3 midway through the second quarter, before the Varsity Blues answered with five straight goals to take a 8-6 lead early in the third quarter. With seven minutes left in the third quarter, Toronto would take a 10-8 lead.
Brock's offense would finally come alive in the final quarter as they scored seven straight goals for the 16-10 victory at home .
Brandon Slade (Orangeville, ON) contributed with two goals and four assists to lead the attack.
