
The Brock Badgers men's lacrosse team began the CUFLA Championship Tournament with a 20-8 victory over the University of Ottawa Gee-Gees Friday evening at Alumni Field.

Brock opened the scoring just 14 seconds into the game when
Nico Beaudoin streaked down the centre of the field and scored the Badgers' first goal of the tournament.

Brandon Slade led all scorers with three goals and four assists for a seven-point performance.
Connor Ham earned Player of the Game honours after scoring a career-best five goals.
Rounding out the Brock leaders were
Nicholas Rybka (3 goals, 1 assist),
Davis Neal (2 goals, 2 assists),
Tyrus Rehanek (1 goal, 1 assist),
Alex Pace (2 goals, 1 assist), Grayson Haughton (2 goals), and
Matthew Bourassa (1 goals, 2 assists).

Cameron Spencer led the GeeGees offense with two goals and one assist to earn Player of the Game honours. Kyle Staveley chipped in with two goals and Brandon Perras added three assists.

The Badgers advance to play the Trent Excalibur at 1 pm on November 5th at Alumni Field in a semi final matchup.
