The Brock University men's lacrosse team rolled past the University of Toronto Varsity Blues by the score of 30-5 Saturday afternoon at Alumni Field.
The Badgers jumped out to an early 5-0 lead in the opening 20 minutes and led 13-2 at the half. Brock's offense continued to roll outscoring Toronto 9-3 in the third quarter and ended the game with eight straight goals for their largest output of the season.
Leading the Badgers offense was
Brandon Slade and
Tyrus Rehanek who finished with 11 points each. Slade added five goals and six assists while Rehanek contributed with four goals and seven assists.
Connor Ham collected five goals and three assists while
Jake Nyhuus (2G, 2A), Davis Neil (2G, 2A),
Kurtis Woodland (2G, 1A) and
Connor Aquanno (2G) added two goals each. Rounding out the Brock scoring was
Alex Pace (1G, 2A), Connor Magee (1G, 1A),
Blair Pachereva (1G, 1A), Latrell Harris (1G),
Jordan Gillis (1G),
Grayson Houghton (1G) Christopher Weir (1G) and
Saul Van Der Zalm (1G).
With the victory, the Badgers improve to 11-0 and will look to close out the CUFLA West regular season with a win Sunday at 2pm when they host the Laurentian Voyageurs at Alumni Field.
