The Brock track and field team set new school records at the Windsor Team Challenge at the University of Windsor on Feb. 9.
On the men's side, captain Emmanuel Harawa, ran a personal best time in the men's 300-metre dash with a time of 34 seconds and 67 milliseconds, breaking his own Brock record which he set last year. He is now ranked 13th in the country.
Harawa was also part of the men's 4x200m relay team which broke the school record with a time of 1:30.20 along with Tyrell Smikle, Eloho Orogun, and Tye Douma. The record was previously set in 2018 by Paul Bisnauth, Kwaku Bonsu, Ben Gadsby and Emmanuel Harawa (1:31.29).
Joseph Dick posted a time of 4:05.27 in the 1,500m to break the Brock school record, previously set by Jelmer van den Hadelkamp in 2016.
On the women's side, Felicia Scaringi qualified for OUAs in the 60m dash with a time of 8.28. Monica Binotto lead the way for the women's 300m dash with a time of 42.11. She was followed by Scaringi, who ran a personal best time in the 300m in 42.56 seconds, just shy of standard (42.50).
The women's 4x400m relay broke the school record by 4.41 seconds, which they previously set earlier this season, with a time of 4:06.57. The squad consisted of Kaysen Drummond (62.11), Felicia Scaringi (60.33), Daphne Leger (64.24) and Monica Binotto (59.87).
Up next, the Badgers travel to Toronto to compete at the Hal Brown Last Chance on Friday, Feb. 14.
