Brock closes Walker Sports Complex for COVID-19 precautions

Brock Sports and Brock Recreation are closely monitoring the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on the University and wider community.

All athletic and recreational facilities in the Walker Sports Complex are closed until further notice as of Monday, March 16 at noon. This includes the Zone fitness centre, pool, gymnasia, therapy, running track and all other fitness and training areas.

We apologize for the inconvenience, however the University is prioritizing a rapid response to the COVID-19 pandemic and to limit the opportunities for spread of the virus for the safety and wellbeing of our Brock community.

On Friday, March 13, Brock suspended all face-to-face classes, lectures, seminars, tests and exams for the rest of this academic term and announced there will be no in-person exams this academic term. The term will resume with online classes and exams starting on Monday, March 23.

All events, activities and programming at Brock are cancelled through June 1.

This includes the annual Brock Sports athletic banquet. Those who had purchased a ticket will receive a full refund in the coming days. Award recipients will still be selected and announced at a later date.
