GUELPH - In their second match versus each other this season, the Brock Badgers men's lacrosse team and Guelph Gryphons went to overtime with the Gryphons coming away with an 8-7 win on Sunday afternoon.
A close game throughout, the Badgers held a slim 4-3 lead heading into halftime in Guelph. Early in the second half the Badgers were able to jump ahead 6-3, but with three unanswered goals to close out the third quarter the Gryphons closed the gap and eventually forced overtime to win in sudden death.
Blair Pachereva continued to be a strong scoring threat for the Badgers with a hat-trick in the road contest. 10 different Brock players recorded a point, with
Mitchell Zulian,
Jaden Patterson,
Luca Romano, and Matthe Labute rounding out the goal scorers.
Returning home to Alumni Field for their final two regular season games, the Badgers will look to put an end to the three game slide they find themselves on. Bock will challenge the McMaster Marauders next Saturday, Oct. 22, followed by their season finale versus the Laurier Golden Hawks on Sunday, Oct. 23. The Saturday match will begin at 7 p.m., while the Sunday game goes at 2 p.m., with both matches available to watch on the
