ST CATHARINES - Defeating the Toronto Varsity Blues 8-5 in CUFLA playoff action at Alumni Field on Saturday night, the Brock Badgers men's lacrosse team booked their ticket to the Baggataway Cup next weekend.

With the victory, Brock qualifies for the CUFLA championship tournament hosted next weekend from Nov. 4-6 at Trent University where they will have an opportunity to claim their 20th Baggataway Cup in program history.

In the Saturday night contest Brock was able to lead from start to finish versus the Toronto Varsity Blues. A highlight performer for the Badgers in the playoff win, Sam Leclair finished the night with a hat-trick, including an incredible diving goal in the fourth quarter. Also impressive for Brock was Blair Pachereva who notched two goals and two assists for a four point night. Scoring was rounded out by single markers from Andrew Rybka, Andrew Kidd, and Aidan Buis.

The Badgers will next compete in a CUFLA quarter-final matchup on Friday, Nov. 4 in a crossover matchup versus an opponent from the East division. Matches will be finalized following all playoff contests this weekend.
