TORONTO - Completing a home-and-home series with the Toronto Varsity Blues, the Brock Badgers men's lacrosse team earned the sweep with a 12-4 victory on Saturday night in Toronto.
After falling behind 2-0 in the first quarter, Brock went on to score nine unanswered goals to establish what would be an insurmountable lead.
Outscoring Toronto 5-1 in the third quarter, the Badgers offense was led by four point games from both
Mitchell Zulian and
Aidan Buis, who each finished with two goals and two assists.
Andrew Rybka was also a force for the Badgers attack recording his second hat-trick in as many games. Scoring for Brock was rounded out by single markers from
Jaden Patterson,
Noah Simonelli,
Hunter Ostromecki,
Mitchell Armstrong, and
Blair Pachereva.
Connor O'Toole earned the win in net for the Badgers tying his season best with only four goals conceded.
Shifting to the next opponent, Brock now completes another home-and-home series with the Western Mustangs beginning at home on Alumni Field this Friday, Oct. 7. Action begins at 7 p.m. with the game available on OUA.TV to stream as well.
