The Brock Badgers men's and women's swimming team finished their meet weekend with a second-place overall finish at the Brock Invitational on Sunday (Oct. 15). The men's team finished second on their side with 559 points, and the women's team accumulated 433 points to finish fourth.
For the Badgers women, Bella Seabrook (2:39.18) and Grace Malcolm (2:39.29) finished second and third, respectively, in the 200m butterfly.
Tatum O'Connor won a bronze medal in the 100m backstroke (1:08.27).
Chloe Smith came away with fourth in the 100m butterfly (1:09.84), while Jami Fuson earned 16 points for the Badgers in the 400m IM (5:29.59) with a bronze.
On the men's side, Julien Legault was the shining star for the Brock Badgers once again, earning a silver yesterday in the 50m backstroke (27.85) and besting that time for a first-place finish with a time of 27.61.
Michael McCormick took home silver with a time of 2:10.85 in the 200m backstroke and finished in second in the 100m backstroke (1:01.44). Evan Karlov got on the podium with a bronze, touching the wall in 24.83 in the 50m freestyle.
In the relays, Karlov, Liam McKenna, Chris Ball and Anthony Gunn missed out on the podium, coming in fourth in the 200m freestyle relay (1:39.21) and the 200m relay team of Legault, Mario Agostino, Gunn and Karlov also placed fourth (1:48.33).
Up next, the Badgers will compete in their home pool at the Walker Invitational (October 28-29) as they continue to prepare for their Divisional Championship in November.
