SASKATOON - Sending a program best four athletes to the U SPORTS National Championships, hosted by the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon this past week, the Brock Badgers track and field program earned three Top 5 results at the Canadian showcase event.

Starting off the Badgers trio of national Top 5's, second-year sprinter Colton Spencer earned a fifth place finish in the men's 60m hurdles. Earning his place in Saskatoon after also placing fifth at the OUA Championships just the week prior, Spencer opened Day 2 with the sixth fastest time in prelims clocking in with a 8.29. Then later in the day he would better that time with an 8.20 placing fifth overall in the country at his second national championship appearance.

After claiming OUA gold the week prior, Good would post a best throw of 12.94m to finish just behind competitors from Calgary, Western, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba. Along with setting several new program records for the Badgers this season, including top results in program history at both the provincial and national levels, Good has also served as a coach for her fellow throw athletes.

Also joining in on the Top 5 finishes, OUA rookie of the year Michael Ivanov once again competed in two events, taking to the men's high jump on Day 2 and the men;s pole vault on the final day. Ivanov opened his first U SPORTS national championship appearance with a ninth place finish in the high jump, posting a leap of 1.94m. From there, in his primary event, he would achieve a fifth place result in the men's pole vault with a jump of 4.72m.
