It was a successful trip to London for the Brock Badgers men's track and field team.
The Badgers saw three first-place finishes at the Don Wright Team Challenge at the Thompson Arena on Saturday, Jan. 18.
In the long jump, Bolu Olatifede won his first event of the year after producing a successful jump of 6.39-metres.
Both Michael Ivanov and Keshawn Igbinosun continued their strong seasons as they both earned first-place finishes.
Ivanov has won the pole vault in all four competitions he has attended. This time around, he took home gold with a jump of 5.11m.
For the second time, Igbinosun won the 600m event, crossing the finish line with a time of one minute, 21 seconds and one millisecond.
Christian Ligtenberg placed second in the 1000m race with a time of 2:29.96. His teammate Garrett Wager was not far behind as he came in third (2:31.74).
In the 60m hurdles, Colton Spencer won his third silver medal of the year as he finished in 8.26.
Adam Dampier finished second (37.24) in the 300m race, while Ayden Tessier earned a third-place result with a time of 7.19 in the 60m dash. Tessier also placed fourth in the 300m competition (37.51).
The Badgers also saw success in the relay races as the 4x400m team of Dampier, Igbinosun, Ligtenberg and Wager broke a Brock school record with a time of 3:27.39 to place second.
Up next, the Badgers' season continues at the SPIRE Midwest Invitational where they will cross the border to the United States of America and Geneva, Ohio on Saturday, Jan. 25.
