In a back-and-forth contest, the Brock Badgers men's basketball team came away with a thrilling 67-61 road victory against the Guelph Gryphons on Saturday afternoon at the Guelph Gryphons Athletics Centre in Guelph, Ont. Andrew McKenna led the Badgers posting a season-high 19 points and a career-best five assists, while Nemanja Sarkanovic tallied a career-high 16 points. The Badgers got off to a hot start, leading 20-13 by the end of the first quarter. Despite Guelph clawing their way back to level the game 28-28 at halftime, McKenna's eight points in the third quarter gave the Badgers a one-point lead entering the final frame. Madalyn Weinert's 28-point performance on Saturday lifted her to 1,657 career regular-season points, extending her lead over Jodie Ebeling's previous program record of 1,624 set from 2002 to 2007. Despite Weinert's effortrs, the Brock Badgers women's basketball team fell 85–77 to the Guelph Gryphons at the Guelph Gryphons Athletic Centre in Guelph, Ont. Along with the 28 points, Weinert recorded seventh double-double of the campaign after grabbing 13 rebounds, while second-year forward Vienna Vercesi posted a career-high 15 points. Both teams came out trading baskets, ending the first quarter with a tie at 24-24. Guelph had the upper hand in the second frame, taking a 47-39 lead going into halftime. The Badgers pushed hard in the third, storming all the way back from down eight to take a 63-62 lead after three quarters as Weinert delivered 11 of her 28 points. Brock shot a costly 5-for-17 down the stretch, which allowed Guelph to outscore them 23-14 in the fourth and come out on top. The Badgers won the efficiency battle, scoring 42.4 per cent of their field goals to the Gryphons' 35.3 per cent, while also scoring 30 points in the paint compared to 22 from their opponent.

Up next, the Brock Badgers women's basketball team takes on the York Lions at the Tait McKenzie Centre in Toronto on Wednesday, Nov. 26 at 11 a.m. They then return home to Bob Davis Gymnasium to play the Algoma Thunderbirds on Saturday, Nov. 29 at 6 p.m.

The second-year forward added his second of the period at 11 minutes and 18 seconds before Duarte recorded his first goal of the night 26 seconds later, giving Brock a 3-0 edge after the opening frame. After a scoreless second period, Stock extended Brock's lead, scoring midway through the third. Waterloo responded, but the Badgers answered immediately as Duarte buried his second of the night. Barnard added Brock's sixth goal before the Warriors closed out the scoring late to close out the game. Despite Waterloo outshooting Brock 39-34, the Badgers came out victorious with a strong road performance.

On Saturday night, the Brock Badgers men's hockey team defeated the York Lions 3-2 in an overtime thriller at Canlan Ice Sports in Toronto. Andrew Amousse scored his first goal of the season for Brock, while Stringer continued his hot streak by finding the back of the net for the final two goals, including the overtime winner. This was Stringer's fourth goal in two games, moving him into a tie for 12th in the province with seven. Goaltender Ben Bonisteel earned the start and made 24 saves en route to the victory. It was a back-and-forth matchup, with Amousse giving the Badgers a 1-0 lead early in the first frame and York tying the game at the end of the period. The second frame saw more of the same, with Stringer burying his first before York would again answer to tie the game 2-2. After a scoreless third period, Brock came out swinging in overtime, with Stringer scoring his second goal of the game only 21 seconds in. The Badgers finished with 25 shots compared to the Lions 26, with the one shot difference illustrating the close nature of the contest.

The Badgers next opportunity comes on Friday, Nov. 28 at 6 p.m. against the Western Mustangs at Canada Games Park for the Hat Tricks & Honky Tonk theme game, which is followed by another home matchup against the Lakehead Thunderwolves on Sunday, Nov. 30 at 2 p.m.

The Brock Badgers women's hockey team fell 6-1 to the Ontario Tech Ridgebacks at the Campus Ice Centre in Oshawa, Ont. Carly Sardine scored the lone goal of the game for the Badgers, which was assisted by Allison Moore. The Badgers and Ridgebacks battled hard in the first period, ending the frame scoreless. The Ridgebacks took over in the second period, scoring three goals. Sardine netted her goal early into the third frame in hopes of a comeback, but the Ridgebacks added three more goals by the end of the period to close out the game. The Badgers were outshot the Ridgebacks 25-23 as the Ridgebacks proved to be more efficient offensively on the night.

Up next, the Badgers look to bounce back against the Laurier Golden Hawks on Friday, Nov. 28 at 7 p.m., when they travel to Waterloo, Ont. to play at the Waterloo Memorial Recreation Complex. In their final game before the winter break, the Badgers host the Windsor Lancers at Canada Games Park for the Hat Tricks & Honky Tonk theme game on Saturday, Nov. 29 at 6 p.m.
