In the second edition of the Laura Secord Cup, the Brock Badgers faced off against the Guelph Gryphons at Canada Games Park. The Badgers fell to the Gryphons by a score of 4-0. The stands reflected strong community support, with several District School Board of Niagara public schools including Applewood, Burleigh Hill, Richmond and Westdale all in attendance.

Men's Rugby
Saturday, Sept. 27: W 38-7 vs. Toronto Varsity Blues

The Brock Badgers defeated the Toronto Varsity Blues 38-7 at Alumni Field on Saturday during Senior Day. The standout performance of the game was Luke Bagshaw, who scored three tries and four conversions for a match-high 23 points. Bagshaw has been strong throughout the season, being tied for third in points in the entire OUA with 27 points heading into Saturday's matchup. This game also had some important milestones for some other Badgers players as first-year scrum half Sam Morreale and second-year scrum half Sam Lo Presti scored their first tries of their OUA careers. The Badgers and Blues had a very back-and-forth first half, with the hosts taking a slim 10-7 lead. The next 40 minutes saw the Badgers take control as they scored 28 unanswered points.

The Badgers look to build on this strong performance in their next game when they go up against the McMaster Marauders in Hamilton, Ont. on Friday, Oct. 3 at 7 p.m.
