Markewich, a fourth-year Medical Sciences major, delivered an impressive performance at the Canadian University Rowing Championships this weekend, being named Co-Rower of the Year alongside teammate Stephen Harris. The Badgers veteran scored gold in the men's lightweight double event with his teammate Harris, finishing four seconds ahead of the second place result. Markewich was then part of the Brock crew that captured gold in the men's lightweight four, and brought home bronze in the men's lightweight eight category. The Brock men's team finished second overall at the national championshi event.
