Brock men's lacrosse trounces Varsity Blues 20-3

TORONTO, Ont. - The Brock University men's lacrosse team (9-1 CUFLA) made it seven straight victories as they rolled past the University of Toronto Varsity Blues by the score of 20-3 Saturday afternoon on the road.

The Varsity Blues took an early 2-0 lead before the Badgers offense answered with 20 of the next 21 goals on route to their ninth victory of the season. 

Leading the Brock offense was Kyle Davis who led all players with a game-high seven points registering six goals and one assist. Greg Davidson contributed with five goals and one assist while Brandon Slade added two goals and four assists. Brandon Staal had a five-point game collecting two goals and three helpers. Rounding out the Badgers scoring were Travis Arch (1G, 2A), Mark Debrone (1G, 1A), Mitch Robertson (1G), Zach Calder (1G) and Aaron Walker (1G).

Adding single goals for Toronto were Justin Crofts, Ben Hayes and Michael Buwalda. 

In two games this season Brock outscored the Varsity Blues 34-9. The Badgers sit atop of the CUFLA West standings with a 9-1 record. In ten games they have scored 130 goals (13.0 GPG) and allowed just 61 (6.1 GPG). Davis and Slade currently rank 1-2 in CUFLA scoring leaders with 48 and 47 points respectively. 

The Badgers host the Laurier Golden Hawks (0-8) October 13th in a Thanksgiving Matinee at 2pm.
